All Natural "Green" Sorbents Now Available through
Core Compliance Group
Core Compliance Group became the area distributor for UniRem, a manufacturer
of a unique line of sorbent petroleum remediation products available as booms,
socks, and well booms, as well as a powder form. Unlike traditional sorbents,
the UniRem line contains a blend of oleophilic beeswax and soy that quickly binds
hydrocarbons and allows naturally occurring microbes to biodegrade the oil into
CO2 and water.
When bioremediation is complete, all that remains is the sorbent casing that
can be discarded in regular trash—a truly green product. In fact, this product
was nominated by NASA to the 2006 Space and Technology Hall of Fame and was featured
on the History Channel’s Modern Marvels (see video link below).
